How to Prepare for Texas Instruments

Overview

This Texas Instruments preparation guide is based on public online-test and interview reports - not a made-up study plan.

Profile-split OA (Analog / Digital / Embedded) with a shared aptitude section; at most two profiles. Core interviews are project- and fundamentals-heavy rather than LeetCode-contest style for analog/digital roles.

Eligibility notes from student reports

Item Detail
CGPA / % Typically 7.0+ CGPA (IIT Kharagpur / IIT Guwahati campus accounts)
Branches ECE, EEE, Instrumentation, CSE for Embedded Software / some Software roles, Engineering Physics (some drives)
Other Campus shortlisting is often CV-based. Exact branch list varies by drive and profile. Off-campus may skip the same OA format and screen on resume.

Rounds students usually mention

Online Assessment (HirePro on many campuses) → Technical interview (1-2 rounds, sometimes 1-3) → HR interview

Prep tips from student reports

  1. For Analog: practice RC bode/transient by inspection (Razavi/Neamen + problem sets); defend every CV project to component level.
  2. For Digital: FSM design end-to-end, setup/hold, Verilog blocking vs non-blocking.
  3. For Embedded/Software: C pointers, bit manipulation, OS/cache; be ready to write/debug on a shared screen.
  4. Aptitude: accuracy first because of negative marking - skip uncertain items.
