DXC is a volume campus hirer with a named fresher title. The academic floor is usually 6.0 / 60% throughout. Automata Fix and a no-revisit AMCAT clock are what separate an Associate Professional offer from a silent result mail.

  • For: B.E./B.Tech/MCA (and listed M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc CS/IT, sometimes B.Sc/BCA on specific JDs) targeting Associate Professional (software, infrastructure, or support).
  • Not the same track: Experienced consulting loops, or a 2016 CSC-only memory. This hub is the 2017-onward DXC GET-style filter.
  • Circuital branches: CS/IT/ECE appear on the GFG on-campus note. Some mailers list EEE and related. Follow the notice.
Route What usually changes What stays the same
Campus / pool PPT, college list, webcam AMCAT Section timings + Automata Fix
careers.dxc.com Form + invite Same AMCAT flavour
Referral Visibility You still sit every section

Off-campus does not mean easier Automata Fix. It often means more applicants who skip debugging practice.

Degree, 60% throughout, and “is 6.0 enough?”

Section titled “Degree, 60% throughout, and “is 6.0 enough?””

Is 6.0 CGPA enough? It matches many Associate Professional notes (or 60%). Throughout 10th, 12th, and graduation matters when listed. A 8.1 B.Tech with 57% in 12th is how people get dropped. A 6.2 who finishes AMCAT without blank Automata and can explain a project beats an 8.8 who cannot debug a loop.

10th / 12th: They count. Keep scans.

What helps the resume screen: One project, readable English, any internship. “Digital transformation” without a sentence you can say does not help. See certifications after AMCAT practice, not instead of it.

Academic snapshot

Marks: 60% or 6.0 CGPA throughout 10th, 12th, UG (and PG if taken)

Degree: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc CS/IT (B.Sc/BCA on some JDs)

Backlogs: No active backlogs at joining / selection

Gap: Typically max ~2 years

Skills they actually filter

AMCAT: English + logic + quant + programming MCQ

Automata Fix: Debug / complete small programs

Essay / SVAR: Write and (on some invites) speak

Languages: C, C++, Java, Python

Item Typical expectation Reality check
Graduation 60% or 6.0 Mailer wins
10th & 12th Same throughout rule Keep scans
Branches CS/IT/ECE and listed cousins Confirm drive
Backlogs None live Clear before joining
Relocate Often mandatory HR will ask

Good fit: You can sit a 100-minute adaptive-style paper without going back, you will debug a 15-line program, you will write a short essay, you will relocate to Noida or Chennai.

Harder path: You only practiced LeetCode hard; you never wrote an essay; you click Next on AMCAT and panic because you cannot return; you refuse every DC.

Branch myth: ECE is on the GFG CS/IT/ECE note. The Automata Fix does not care that you are ECE; it cares that the snippet compiles.

Gaps: Over ~2 years is the usual hard stop. Live backlogs are a no.

DXC does not publish a permanent official paper set. Papers on placementpapers.app are pattern trainers for AMCAT sections, Automata Fix, and short interviews.

Round (typical) What to practice
English Vocab, error spotting, RC, para-jumbles (12Q / 15 min in GFG)
Logical Series, arrangements, data sufficiency (14 / 14)
Quant Percentages, TSD, P&L, numbers (16 / 16)
Programming MCQ Types, loops, OOP, arrays (12 / 15)
Automata Fix Debug / complete / reuse (5 / 20 min in GFG; 7 cited elsewhere)
Essay 1 topic / 20 min
SVAR (some) Spoken English sections
Tech / HR Resume oral; city

Think of papers as simulators for no-revisit stamina. Themes repeat more than clones.

  • GFG Associate Professional on-campus: 100-minute webcam AMCAT, no switching back once answered, no negative marking claimed. Then ~30 min technical (project, Java vs C++, abstraction vs interface, polymorphism, encapsulation, OSI, DBMS, OS thrashing, SQL pattern matching). Then ~25 min MS Teams personal interview (Why DXC, relocate, scenario/conflict). Letter of Intent after select.
  • Later explainer composites: Same AMCAT spine; some add SVAR; Automata Fix count 5 or 7. Your invite wins.
  • 2026 expectation: Associate Professional still the title; AMCAT/SHL still the first filter; ₹4-4.5 LPA still the cited campus band.

How to use one paper set in a single sitting

Section titled “How to use one paper set in a single sitting”
  1. Timed: 100 min in section order. Do not go back (train the habit even on paper).
  2. 20 min Automata Fix: make it compile.
  3. 20 min essay: 180-220 words, clear structure.
  4. Review: which section ate the clock; one debug you missed.
  5. 10 min: OOP vs interface out loud.

From application to offer at DXC Technology

Section titled “From application to offer at DXC Technology”

DXC hires freshers through campus cells, careers.dxc.com, and referrals. After eligibility, the shape is classic Indian IT services with two twists: a named Associate Professional title and a documented AMCAT block with Automata Fix + essay.

Campus recruitment

Primary path. PPT, webcam AMCAT, interviews. Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida, Pune.

Online applications

careers.dxc.com only. DXC publishes fraud warnings. Do not send money or random resumes to unofficial inboxes.

Referrals

Help the screen. You still need Automata Fix.

English 12 15 min
Logical reasoning 14 14 min
Quantitative aptitude 16 16 min
Computer programming MCQs 12 15 min
Automata Fix 5 20 min
Essay 1 20 min

Some 2026 explainers add SVAR spoken sections and list Automata Fix as 7Q. Webcam. A question once answered cannot be revisited in the GFG report. No negative marking claimed there.

Pass habit: Answer and move. Do not hunt a 2-mark puzzle for four minutes. Make Automata compile. Essay: intro, two points, close.

Resume: project, favourite subjects, Java vs C++, abstraction vs interface, polymorphism, encapsulation, OSI, DBMS, OS (thrashing), SQL LIKE. GFG difficulty: high relative to the easy OA. Short, specific answers.

Why DXC, Why engineering, strengths, relocate, full-time availability, scenario (peer conflict, noisy neighbour, stolen bag, error at work, negative feedback). GFG: MS Teams.

Phase Duration Notes
PPT / register Days Read DC cities
AMCAT 1 day Webcam; results later
Technical Days ~30 min
HR Days ~25 min; LOI language in GFG
End to end ~2-3 weeks often Campus calendars slip

Associate Professional flavours in one paragraph

Section titled “Associate Professional flavours in one paragraph”

Software Engineer flavour: applications, testing, cloud support. Infrastructure/support: servers, networks, enterprise ops. Same AMCAT gate on many drives. Interview follows what you wrote on the resume. Do not invent Android if you never built it (GFG candidate was asked Android because it was on the CV).

You get broken or incomplete snippets: missing braces, off-by-one, unused function, “reuse this code.” Goal: make tests pass. This is not a 45-minute LeetCode hard. It is careful reading under 20 minutes.

Habit: 10 debug problems this week. Compile in your head, then in an IDE.

20 minutes, one topic. Structure beats vocabulary fireworks. Write one timed essay before the drive. GFG listed it as a scored section.

Aptitude skip rules (16 quant in 16 minutes)

Section titled “Aptitude skip rules (16 quant in 16 minutes)”
  1. Simplification / percentages first.
  2. One TSD or time-work equation.
  3. Probability: skip if the tree is huge.
  4. Never return (you cannot).

10th, 12th, all semesters, ID, resume one page. Throughout 60% means 12th PDF matters. Apply via official channels only.

  • Webcam + lighting for AMCAT
  • Quiet room; ID
  • One debug warm-up, not a new topic
  • One essay outline you already practised
  • City sentence
  • Sleep

What volume Associate Professional hiring means

Section titled “What volume Associate Professional hiring means”

A DXC campus can take a batch. AMCAT still deletes people who freeze on no-revisit. Automata still deletes people who never debug. Technical still deletes people who cannot explain the resume. Your job is to be easy to say yes to: complete paper, compiling fixes, 30-minute oral, city ready.

Do not resign another offer until the LOI/offer PDF lands. Official careers: ignore unsolicited third-party resume spam stories; use the college cell or careers.dxc.com.

AMCAT no-revisit drill (do this on paper this week)

Section titled “AMCAT no-revisit drill (do this on paper this week)”

Print a 16-question quant set. Cover each question after you write the answer. You may not uncover it. That panic in minute 12 is the GFG constraint. People who “save hard ones for the end” lose those marks forever on this paper.

Same habit for English 12/15 and Logical 14/14. The clock is the syllabus. A 90-second RC is a skip if you are still hunting the third inference.

Programming MCQs: trace on scrap paper. Data types, loops, OOP, arrays, compilation vs runtime. GFG listed these as low difficulty. Low difficulty still fails people who never traced a loop.

Minute 0-3: read all snippets. Mark the ones that are missing braces or an off-by-one. Those are free. Minute 3-15: fix the free ones so they compile. Run the sample in your head. Minute 15-20: the reuse/complete item. A partial that compiles beats a brilliant blank.

You are not writing a new algorithm from zero. You are reading someone else’s homework. That is the job of a lot of Associate Professional week-one work, honestly.

Technical 30 minutes: resume is the syllabus

Section titled “Technical 30 minutes: resume is the syllabus”

GFG questions were not random trivia. They followed the CV and first-year CS:

  • Project: what you built, your module, one bug.
  • Java vs C++ if both appear on the resume.
  • Abstraction vs interface, polymorphism, encapsulation.
  • OSI layers if you listed networks.
  • Android version/API if you listed Android.
  • Thrashing if you listed OS.
  • SQL LIKE / ER / DBMS advantages if you listed databases.

The fix is not “study all of GATE.” The fix is: every bullet on the resume gets a 60-second answer tonight. Delete the bullet if you cannot talk.

GFG asked conflict, noisy neighbour, stolen bag, error at work, negative feedback. Pattern: stay calm, protect the relationship, escalate if needed, learn. 40-second answers. “I would file an FIR and also call my parents” is a complete stolen-bag answer. Do not invent a TED talk.

How to train for DXC Technology this season

Section titled “How to train for DXC Technology this season”

If a DXC Technology invite is 3-8 weeks out, treat this hub as the map and the nested pages as the drills. Do not reread eligibility ten times. Check the JD once, then spend hours on the filter that actually rejects people.

Typical fresher CTC chatter for DXC Technology sits around ₹4-4.5 LPA (candidate-reported - confirm the letter). Languages students mention most often: Java, C++, Python, C. Pick one and stay with it in OA and interviews.

Eligibility reminder (from student reports): Candidate-reported DXC eligibility for Associate Professional drives: 60% or 6.0 CGPA throughout 10th, 12th, and graduation; B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (CS/IT) and listed related branches; final-year or recent graduates; no active backlogs; gap typically max 2 years; full-time only. Confirm the campus mailer or careers.dxc.com posting.

What you are training for: Common loop: Online Exam on AMCAT/SHL (~100 min: English, logical, quant, programming MCQs, Automata Fix, essay; some invites add SVAR spoken) → Technical interview (~30 min) → Personal/HR interview (~25 min). GFG on-campus Associate Professional: webcam AMCAT, no switching back to answered questions, then MS Teams HR. Often 2-3 weeks.

Short version of the prep split: Split time roughly: 35% timed aptitude/English, 25% programming MCQs, 20% Automata Fix (debug/complete small programs), 10% essay, 10% resume oral + relocation. Languages: C, C++, Java, Python. Week calendar: /dxc-technology/preparation-guide/.

Week 1 - pattern, not vibes. Timed aptitude + one easy coding problem a day, plus a one-page cs fundamentals sheet. Open the DXC Technology previous-year sets on this site and mark which sections ate your time. Write the timing on a sticky note. That number is more useful than a 200-problem LeetCode streak you never timed.

Week 2 - the steep filter. Most DXC Technology drives fail people on the first timed paper or OA. Do three timed sits this week. After each one, log every miss in a two-column note: topic and why (slow, wrong formula, bad edge case, panic). The next sit should only add problems from that log.

Week 3 - talk tracks. Technical interviews at DXC Technology usually want a clean project story, one or two CS fundamentals, and (if the process has it) a behavioral or values round. Write STAR stories on paper, not in your head. Practise “Why DXC Technology?” with one concrete product, lab, or business line - not a slogan.

Week 4 - mocks and logistics. Two full mocks, then only error-log topics - no new patterns. If you still have energy, redo only the questions you failed in week 2.

Slice Share of weekly hours What “done” looks like
Timed papers / OA ~40% You finish a DXC Technology-style sit without guessing the clock
Coding / role technical ~30% You can explain a solution out loud in your chosen language
Fundamentals / domain ~20% You can teach one OS/DBMS/networks (or domain) topic to a friend
Stories + HR ~10% Two STAR stories and a specific Why-this-company answer

If you only have 10 days, keep the same ratios and cut volume, not the timed sits.

Use this hub for the DXC Technology story (eligibility, rounds, salary). Use those pages for reps. If a card 404s on your campus mirror, the explore links at the top of this page are the same destinations.

  • Collecting 12 DXC Technology PDFs and never sitting one under a timer.
  • Switching languages every weekend because a senior used a different one.
  • Memorising HR answers before they can finish the OA.
  • Ignoring the company-specific quirk on this page (unique round, exam name, or role band) and preparing like a generic service-company drive.

If you do one thing after reading this: schedule three timed DXC Technology papers on three different days, then interview prep on the leftovers.

If you are starting from a service-company prep base

Section titled “If you are starting from a service-company prep base”

A TCS/Infosys aptitude deck still helps the quant/logic slice of many DXC Technology papers, but do not assume the same cutoff culture. Read the process section on this page once, then swap in DXC Technology-specific coding or domain drills from the nested banks. Shared prep is fine; shared assumptions about rounds are not.

Days 1-3: one timed DXC Technology paper each day plus error log. Days 4-6: only the topics you missed, plus 4-6 coding problems in one language. Days 7-8: project + STAR + Why DXC Technology. Day 9: one more full mock. Day 10: light review and sleep. This is worse than four weeks, but it beats rereading notes the night before.

What to practise before a DXC Technology OA

Section titled “What to practise before a DXC Technology OA”

Week-by-week calendars live on the preparation guide. This section is the this-week focus so you do not prep a 90-minute open coding contest DXC is not running.

Share Work Done when
35% Timed English + logic + quant 16-in-16 without freeze
25% Programming MCQs Output tracing
20% Automata Fix Snippets compile
10% Essay One 20-minute write
10% Resume oral + city OOP vs interface in 60 seconds

Add SVAR speaking if the mailer lists it.

Saturday 10:00: 100-minute section-timed paper, no going back.
Saturday 16:00: 20-minute Automata only (error log).
Sunday 11:00: 30-minute technical oral from your resume.
Sunday 12:00: 25-minute HR including city and a scenario.

Two weekends of that beat twelve nights of random “DXC dumps.”

  • Do not assume you can flag and return. GFG says you cannot.
  • Do not skip essay because you can code.
  • Do not put Android on the resume if you cannot name an API level.
  • Do not apply through a paid “consultant.”

Two full 100-minute section-timed papers (weekend and midweek). Ten Automata-style debugs. One 20-minute essay on a generic topic (social media, work from office, a proverb). Resume oral: record yourself answering project + OOP + one subject from the CV. City sentence on paper. Webcam tested once.

If SVAR is on the invite, add three 10-minute speaking sessions (read, repeat, short opinion). Same mic you will use on exam day.

Full calendar: DXC Technology preparation guide.

Figures are candidate-reported / public explainer bands as of August 2026.

Track Typical CTC Note
Associate Professional ₹4-4.5 LPA Some tables ₹4-5; base ~₹3.6-4.2 cited
Associate (1-2 yr reports) ₹6-7 LPA Not default campus
SE (2-3 yr reports) ₹8-10 LPA Lateral flavour

Confirm variable, any joining bonus cite, and DC city on the written offer. Do not negotiate like a product company. Noida vs Chennai vs Bengaluru changes rent more than a 0.2 LPA gap on the slide.

Health insurance, PF, learning, DC cities. Digital transformation is the PPT story; day-one work is still a project or a queue.

Know ~₹4-4.5 Associate Professional. Ask city. Do not demand 8 LPA on a campus AP letter.

  • Read location
  • 10th/12th/degree % must match
  • LOI vs full offer: ask the cell
  • Verbal is not a PDF
  • Official apply path only

Joining bonus cites on some explainer tables (~₹25,000) are not a reason to skip reading variable pay. Ask when bonus is paid and whether you must stay through a date. Associate Professional CTC around ₹4-4.5 LPA is the planning number until the PDF says otherwise.

If the LOI lists a DC you will not join, say so before you celebrate in the WhatsApp group. Renegotiating city after the college has published a list is how the next batch loses DXC. Compare against Cognizant/HCL on city and joining month, not on a 0.2 LPA ego gap.

What’s changed in DXC Technology hiring lately

Section titled “What’s changed in DXC Technology hiring lately”

AMCAT spine is stable

100-minute webcam paper with Automata Fix and essay still defines campus notes.

No-revisit is the trap

GFG: answered means gone. Train that habit.

Associate Professional is the title

SE vs infra flavour; same first filter on many drives.

₹4-4.5 is the cited band

Confirm the letter. City still decides whether you join.

Net for 2026: do not wait for DXC to become a 90-minute two-problem product OA. Double down on AMCAT sections, debug practice, and a 30-minute resume oral. Train the no-revisit habit on paper once this week so exam day is not the first time you cannot flag a puzzle. Cover the answer after you write it; that panic is the GFG constraint. Automata still needs a compiling snippet, not a clever blank. Debug ten short programs before the webcam paper. Make each one compile on the first try.

Common questions about DXC Technology hiring

Section titled “Common questions about DXC Technology hiring”
Can I download DXC Technology placement papers PDF for free?

How to prepare for DXC Technology placement?

Section-timed AMCAT, Automata Fix, one essay, 30-minute resume oral, city sentence. Guide: preparation guide.

Any pro tip for DXC Technology placement preparation?

Train no-revisit. Make Automata compile. Write one essay. Do not put a skill on the resume you cannot defend in 30 minutes.

DXC vs Cognizant vs HCL vs Infosys?

All volume services. DXC’s twist is Associate Professional + AMCAT Automata/essay + no-back-navigation in the GFG note. Prep that paper; swap Why-this-firm. See Cognizant and HCL.

Is there negative marking on DXC OA?

GFG on-campus said no. Still do not random-fill if your mailer says otherwise. You also cannot return to fix a guess.

What if I fail DXC AMCAT?

Reuse section speed on other AMCAT/SHL services papers. Fix Automata and skip rules. Do not buy dumps.

Does DXC AMCAT allow going back to a question?

The GFG on-campus Associate Professional write-up says a question once answered cannot be revisited. Train that habit. Confirm your invite.

Is the DXC technical interview hard?

GFG called it high relative to an easy OA. It is a 30-minute resume exam: project, OOP, DBMS, OS, anything you listed. Delete bullets you cannot defend.

Real DXC Technology interview notes from candidates

Section titled “Real DXC Technology interview notes from candidates”

100-minute webcam AMCAT (section table above), no revisit, no negative marking claimed. Technical ~30 minutes: project, Java vs C++, abstraction vs interface, polymorphism, encapsulation, OSI, Android (because it was on the resume), thrashing, SQL pattern matching, ER/DBMS. Personal ~25 minutes on MS Teams: intro, Why DXC, relocate, scenario questions (conflict, noise, theft, mistake, negative feedback). Selected; Letter of Intent. Takeaway: OA is easy-moderate; technical is a resume exam; HR is scenarios. Source: GeeksforGeeks.

Same AMCAT spine; some invites add SVAR; CTC cited ₹4-4.5 LPA; DCs Bengaluru/Chennai/Hyderabad/Noida/Pune. Takeaway: read the invite for SVAR and Automata count.

Unofficial “DXC offers” and resume-to-random-inbox stories. Official: careers.dxc.com and the TPO. Takeaway: do not pay; do not treat a WhatsApp LOI as real.

What to steal: no-revisit drills; Automata compile habit; one essay; 30-minute resume oral; city decided.
What to ignore: Dumps; putting fake Android; quoting 8 LPA on a 4 LPA AP drive.

DXC Technology is volume services with an AMCAT-shaped gate. Associate Professional is a real ~₹4-4.5 LPA job. Automata Fix is a ranked section. Students who treat the paper like an open CAT with review flags fail the GFG constraint.

Use timed papers on placementpapers.app. Follow the preparation guide. Read interview experience and HR questions. Debug ten snippets. Write one essay. Print 10th and 12th. Decide the DC. Then sit the webcam test like an adult.

If DXC and Cognizant/HCL/Infosys land the same week, compare city and whether you already passed Automata. Keep the email thread. Classroom “selected” is not a letter. Wait for the PDF/LOI.

Digital transformation is the PPT story. Day-one work is still a stack you are assigned. “I will only do GenAI” is a bad AP answer. “I write Java/Python and I can debug” is the answer.

Interview day logistics: Webcam, ID, quiet room, charger. Do not sit AMCAT on dying hostel Wi-Fi. You cannot return to a question if the tab glitches and you panic-submit.

Keep practising until 16 quant in 16 minutes and a compiling Automata snippet are automatic. That is DXC. Everything else is decoration.

Week plans stay on the preparation guide. This hub is the map: Associate Professional, AMCAT table, no-revisit, ₹4-4.5, Noida-to-Pune DCs.

Print 10th and 12th tonight. Name and percentages must match. If you miss DXC, the same AMCAT muscle transfers to other services papers. Reuse it.

LOI vs offer: the GFG candidate received a Letter of Intent. Ask the cell what that means for joining date and whether a full offer PDF follows. Do not resign a TCS/Infosys hold on a verbal classroom “DXC selected” until you know which document you hold.

Infra vs SE flavour: if the PPT said infrastructure/support and you only prepared LeetCode, you will still sit AMCAT, then get OS/network questions. If the PPT said software, expect OOP and a project. Same first paper. Different 30-minute oral. Listen to the PPT.

Webcam: ID ready, lighting, no second phone in frame. If the platform flags you, you will not get a debate. AMCAT at 9 a.m. after a 3 a.m. mock is how easy English items go wrong.

If you miss DXC: the same section-timed muscle transfers to other AMCAT/SHL services papers. Reuse the Automata habit. Do not start a new dump site.

Keep a backup Cognizant/HCL/Infosys process live until the LOI and the cell list agree. Name and percentages must match. Background checks happen. Noida and Chennai are not optional flavour text if the letter names them.
