Degree, 60% throughout, and “is 6.0 enough?”

A 8.1 B.Tech with 57% in 12th is how people get dropped. A 6.2 who finishes AMCAT without blank Automata and can explain a project beats an 8.8 who cannot debug a loop.
10th / 12th: They count. Keep scans.

Who usually fits and who struggles

Harder path: You only practiced LeetCode hard; you never wrote an essay; you click Next on AMCAT and panic because you cannot return; you refuse every DC.

What volume Associate Professional hiring means
Section titled “What volume Associate Professional hiring means”A DXC campus can take a batch. AMCAT still deletes people who freeze on no-revisit. Automata still deletes people who never debug. Technical still deletes people who cannot explain the resume. Your job is to be easy to say yes to: complete paper, compiling fixes, 30-minute oral, city ready.
Do not resign another offer until the LOI/offer PDF lands. Official careers: ignore unsolicited third-party resume spam stories; use the college cell or careers.dxc.com.
AMCAT no-revisit drill (do this on paper this week)
Section titled “AMCAT no-revisit drill (do this on paper this week)”Print a 16-question quant set. Cover each question after you write the answer. You may not uncover it. That panic in minute 12 is the GFG constraint. People who “save hard ones for the end” lose those marks forever on this paper.
Same habit for English 12/15 and Logical 14/14. The clock is the syllabus. A 90-second RC is a skip if you are still hunting the third inference.
Programming MCQs: trace on scrap paper. Data types, loops, OOP, arrays, compilation vs runtime. GFG listed these as low difficulty. Low difficulty still fails people who never traced a loop.
Automata Fix: a 20-minute inner clock
Section titled “Automata Fix: a 20-minute inner clock”Minute 0-3: read all snippets. Mark the ones that are missing braces or an off-by-one. Those are free. Minute 3-15: fix the free ones so they compile. Run the sample in your head. Minute 15-20: the reuse/complete item. A partial that compiles beats a brilliant blank.
You are not writing a new algorithm from zero. You are reading someone else’s homework. That is the job of a lot of Associate Professional week-one work, honestly.
Technical 30 minutes: resume is the syllabus
Section titled “Technical 30 minutes: resume is the syllabus”GFG questions were not random trivia. They followed the CV and first-year CS:
- Project: what you built, your module, one bug.
- Java vs C++ if both appear on the resume.
- Abstraction vs interface, polymorphism, encapsulation.
- OSI layers if you listed networks.
- Android version/API if you listed Android.
- Thrashing if you listed OS.
- SQL LIKE / ER / DBMS advantages if you listed databases.
The fix is not “study all of GATE.” The fix is: every bullet on the resume gets a 60-second answer tonight. Delete the bullet if you cannot talk.
HR scenarios without a speech

Pattern: stay calm, protect the relationship, escalate if needed, learn. 40-second answers. “I would file an FIR and also call my parents” is a complete stolen-bag answer. Do not invent a TED talk.

A four-week plan that actually gets used
Section titled “A four-week plan that actually gets used”Week 1 - pattern, not vibes. Timed aptitude + one easy coding problem a day, plus a one-page cs fundamentals sheet. Open the DXC Technology previous-year sets on this site and mark which sections ate your time. Write the timing on a sticky note. That number is more useful than a 200-problem LeetCode streak you never timed.
Week 2 - the steep filter. Most DXC Technology drives fail people on the first timed paper or OA. Do three timed sits this week. After each one, log every miss in a two-column note: topic and why (slow, wrong formula, bad edge case, panic). The next sit should only add problems from that log.
Week 3 - talk tracks. Technical interviews at DXC Technology usually want a clean project story, one or two CS fundamentals, and (if the process has it) a behavioral or values round. Write STAR stories on paper, not in your head. Practise “Why DXC Technology?” with one concrete product, lab, or business line - not a slogan.
Week 4 - mocks and logistics. Two full mocks, then only error-log topics - no new patterns. If you still have energy, redo only the questions you failed in week 2.

Joining bonus cites on some explainer tables (~₹25,000) are not a reason to skip reading variable pay. Ask when bonus is paid and whether you must stay through a date. Associate Professional CTC around ₹4-4.5 LPA is the planning number until the PDF says otherwise.
If the LOI lists a DC you will not join, say so before you celebrate in the WhatsApp group. Renegotiating city after the college has published a list is how the next batch loses DXC. Compare against Cognizant/HCL on city and joining month, not on a 0.2 LPA ego gap.

DXC Technology is volume services with an AMCAT-shaped gate. Associate Professional is a real ~₹4-4.5 LPA job. Automata Fix is a ranked section. Students who treat the paper like an open CAT with review flags fail the GFG constraint.
Use timed papers on placementpapers.app. Follow the preparation guide. Read interview experience and HR questions. Debug ten snippets. Write one essay. Print 10th and 12th. Decide the DC. Then sit the webcam test like an adult.
If DXC and Cognizant/HCL/Infosys land the same week, compare city and whether you already passed Automata. Keep the email thread. Classroom “selected” is not a letter. Wait for the PDF/LOI.
Digital transformation is the PPT story. Day-one work is still a stack you are assigned. “I will only do GenAI” is a bad AP answer. “I write Java/Python and I can debug” is the answer.
Interview day logistics: Webcam, ID, quiet room, charger. Do not sit AMCAT on dying hostel Wi-Fi. You cannot return to a question if the tab glitches and you panic-submit.
Keep practising until 16 quant in 16 minutes and a compiling Automata snippet are automatic. That is DXC. Everything else is decoration.
Week plans stay on the preparation guide. This hub is the map: Associate Professional, AMCAT table, no-revisit, ₹4-4.5, Noida-to-Pune DCs.
Print 10th and 12th tonight. Name and percentages must match. If you miss DXC, the same AMCAT muscle transfers to other services papers. Reuse it.
LOI vs offer: the GFG candidate received a Letter of Intent. Ask the cell what that means for joining date and whether a full offer PDF follows. Do not resign a TCS/Infosys hold on a verbal classroom “DXC selected” until you know which document you hold.
Infra vs SE flavour: if the PPT said infrastructure/support and you only prepared LeetCode, you will still sit AMCAT, then get OS/network questions. If the PPT said software, expect OOP and a project. Same first paper. Different 30-minute oral. Listen to the PPT.
Webcam: ID ready, lighting, no second phone in frame. If the platform flags you, you will not get a debate. AMCAT at 9 a.m. after a 3 a.m. mock is how easy English items go wrong.
If you miss DXC: the same section-timed muscle transfers to other AMCAT/SHL services papers. Reuse the Automata habit. Do not start a new dump site.
Keep a backup Cognizant/HCL/Infosys process live until the LOI and the cell list agree. Name and percentages must match. Background checks happen. Noida and Chennai are not optional flavour text if the letter names them.
